115th Uncle Dans's Dinner

This Dinner remembers the thoughtfulness and generosity of our fellow Elk and philanthropist “Uncle Dan” Wheeler. Every year, Uncle Dan provided turkey dinners to local residents in need beginning in 1909. The Reno Elks Lodge has continued that tradition. All proceeds from this event go directly to our Charity Fund and there are no associated administrative costs. 

Funds raised from Uncle Dan’s Dinner are used in the following ways: 

• Scholarships for local high school graduates 

• Food baskets for needy families 

• Donations to local veterans 

• Donations to community organizations and youth programs
