Our Local Elks National Foundation Committee received $3,000 for the Gratitude Grant which they used a portion of the mopney to fill 180 Pencil boxes for the students at The Mariposa Language and Learning Academy. These children may not have school supplies without the help of this Grant.
The remainder of the money will be spent on purchasing new books for the school library in September. Principal Jenny Hunt and her staff were most appreciative of this donation for their well deserving students. Thank you, Reno Elks Lodge, for caring about the less fortunate in our community.
